How To Upload WooCommerce Images

Any product on your WooCommerce store is going to be empty without the images of that product. The product images help the customer in understanding the product better and what they should expect on delivery.

Uploading images for your WooCommerce products

  1. Login to your WordPress admin dashboard.
  2. You can add a new product or edit the existing one if you want to add images to an older product. You can add a new product by visiting Products -> Add New from your admin dashboard.
  3. In a WooCommerce product you can add two types of images, one is the main product image that will be visible in the catalog and as the primary image for the product and the other type is a product gallery image. You can only set one product image while you can upload multiple product gallery images.
  4. To upload the product image, scroll down to the Product Image box that can be found on the right hand side. Click on the Set product image link.
  5. A popup will appear allowing you to either select an image from your Media Library or Upload a new image. Once you have selected or uploaded the image, click on the Set product image button.
The image is now set as the Product Image.
  6. To upload additional images for the product you can do so by scrolling down to the Product gallery box. This box is usually beneath the Product Image box. To add an image or multiple images click on the Add product gallery images link.
Once you have selected the images click on the Add to gallery button.

You can also remove individual images by hovering over the image and clicking on the x sign.
  7. Once all the images for the product have been uploaded click on the Publish button.
Your product can now be viewed with images on your WooCommerce store.

Conclusion

WooCommerce makes it easy to upload images for your products. Without images you will have difficulty selling products whereas product images will increase your conversion ratio. It is also important to upload a main product image for your products as it will be visible everywhere on your WooCommerce store wherever the product will be listed.
